Warriors Production Team

Emma Monk

Writer/Executive Producer

Our Writer Emma Monk. Emma is primarily an actress but has been writing ‘Warriors’ for 4 years now. Writing from the heart and then growing as a writer each time there was feedback, re-writes and complete direction changes with the script. Emma has always had the desire to tell this story as she “got into acting to tell the unknown stories and to inspire people.”
After realising there was a lack of writers willing to explore the subject matter she wanted to explore and finding it extremely hard to break into the Australian industry after graduating with a Diploma of Screen Acting from Screenwise Australia she started developing her writing skills to create and explore her own content.
Last year Emma gained a scholarship to TVi studios in LA for Acting and Upright Citizens Brigade LA where she studied sketch writing and developed more skills on the comedy side of things. Emma says it was her trip to the states that has “re-inspired” her and has her going at leaps and bounds this year. She is the Creator of the Comedy series called Love Ya. Not So Much! Which started filming in January this year.

Emma says “it was seeing how people have responded to Love Ya. Not so Much! That has boosted her confidence to finally make this story that she holds closely to her heart. As she now sees how far a voice can reach and inspire change.”

Shannon Walters

Writer/Director

Shannon joined Emma in the later part of 2015 as a co writer for Warriors. Shannon was a keen amature writer but was originally approached for her background in Social Services, knowledge and interest in Child Protection.

Shannon found Emma's passion for the project contagious and was delighted to be invited to join the writing team in a more creative capacity. Together the team brought the final aspects of warriors to life. Warriors will be Shannon's directing debut and she couldn't be happier to be working with such a talented team of creative and empowered women.

"I originally thought that Warriors was just a terrific story, but being involved in the writing and research phases of this screenplay has truly convinced me of it's potential to inspire and facilitate change" she says. "The positive feedback and encouragement has been phenomenal."

Lisa Morel

Lisa realized her passion for film, TV, music and the creative arts at an early age, performing in choirs and dancing, as well as singing on stage for performing arts schools as a young adult and decided when she was 11 years old that she wanted to be a Producer in TV and Film. After falling into Property Valuation at the age of 20, Lisa found herself a little lost in terms of what career or direction she wanted to take. However, when Lisa was 24 years old she rediscovered her passion for the creative arts and production in TV and Film. Whilst working full time, she committed herself to completing a Bachelor of Communications degree part time over several years and enjoying a couple of memorable overseas trips during that time. Lisa has experienced many opportunities through freelancing over the past 3 years in varying areas of production including Directors Assistant and Floor Manager on live tapings of TV Shows, Script Supervisor on various Short Films, Production Runner for Fremantle Media for the taping of Series 9 of Famer Wants A Wife (currently airing on NBN), and has also had the opportunity to rub shoulders with talented TV and Film Directors, TV personalities including meeting many experienced and knowledgeable industry professionals along the way. As a Producer, ‘Warriors’ is Lisa’s first official role on an Independent production outside of University classrooms, however Lisa brings with her much knowledge and experience from previous productions, well informed education led by Tutors with industry experience at University, which has aided Lisa on her conquest in reconnecting her with her love of production as well as Producing and the required knowledge to go along with it. Lisa will commit to the role of Producer in Pre-Production and Post Production and will step into the role of Assistant Director during Production of the film. Lisa is looking forward to working with an incredible team of creatives on an important topic she feels equally passionate about as the writers and would like to continue creating content that is informative, entertaining, illuminating and inspiring.

Sebastian Kaczorowski

Director of Photography

Sebastian has always had a passion for being behind the camera. Even at a young age he was recording with his friends on the weekends, and editing what he'd captured in the afternoons, creating small projects to nurture and satisfy his creative compulsions.
After completing the Diploma in Screen at TAFE, he has continued to follow his passion to create and capture stories. With experience on several Short Films, Television and Events, Sebastian will be an integral componant in bringing the Warriors story to life by combining his vision and technical know-how with the team’s unique ideas to bring the script from just words on a page to a living breathing production.
